High Stream Moving, founded in 2015 by Andrey Struts, began as a small, family-run business specializing in piano moves in Canada and USA. Since then, it has grown into an international moving company serving clients across North America. By 2025, the company has completed more than 1,000 successful long-distance moves and has increased its revenue by over 1,500%.
The team behind High Stream Moving attributes this success to their dedication to providing a fully personalized service that fulfills all of the client’s requirements.
“A lot of companies in the niche are trying to promise some sort of an incredibly fine-tuned workflow to appeal to the target audience, but we don’t believe that this is necessarily what the customers want.
Every move is different, and a company that can listen to actual client feedback at every point of the move and make adjustments accordingly is always going to come out on top,” says Andrey Struts, CEO of High Stream Moving.
As Struts explains, High Stream Moving’s strategy is all about focusing on flexibility and increasing convenience for clients rather than establishing a single universal workflow and trying to fit the customer into it.
“It never really works out this way — reality will always interfere with your plans, and the only way to increase your reliability in the customer’s eyes is not to simply follow a predetermined course of action, but to have the ability and the experience required to find suitable solutions on the go,” says Struts.
Over the years the team has completed over 400 piano moves following this philosophy, and it resulted in a high number of positive reviews and a great deal of recommendations.
“In this business, you cannot really focus on customer retention, because moving pianos (or anything else, really) is mostly a one-time thing. However, building your brand is easy if you do your job right, and doing your job right a lot of the time is about listening to the customer’s concerns and making sure that they feel heard, understood, and taken care of.
Movers enter people’s homes, which is a really vulnerable situation, and you have to respect it and act accordingly. It is the attitude and attention to detail that earned us our reputation, not just the moving service — this part comes for granted,” says Andrey Struts.
Being there for your client sometimes means going the extra mile, Struts adds, and some companies might not be prepared for it if they stick to a rigid routine.
High Stream Moving is known to not hesitate to take the necessary steps to make things right if something unforeseen happens, meaning that there is no extra stress on the client, and that is generally highly appreciated.
“The reason our customers pay us is because they want their piano move to be as smooth and stress-free as possible, and we deliver exactly that. This is something that isn’t possible if you aim to provide the exact same service every time because the circumstances and requirements aren’t the same.
If I were to give advice to any new mover team, I would say that they should double down on personalization first and foremost,” says Struts.
Right now the team behind High Stream Moving is planning to expand its reach even further and aims to provide international shipping services at a new level. The team has already made the necessary adjustments for that by hiring an in-house broker who works directly with customs, ensuring smooth and quick clearance for cross-border moves.
“This service is included in our quotes so that our clients have one less thing to worry about when moving internationally. We aim to increase convenience even further in a few other ways, although we don’t want to uncover all of our strategies at the moment. Stay tuned with our updates and get ready for an even better service,” says Andrey Struts.
